Erin Munnelly enjoys a career of both performing and teaching in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is a freelance flutist, performing as Principal Flute with the Durham Symphony Orchestra and substitute or auxiliary player with the North Carolina Symphony on both flute and piccolo. Erin plays Principal flute with the Raleigh Civic Symphony and flute and piccolo with the Raleigh Civic Chamber Orchestra. She also maintains a large private studio. Erin earned her Master of Music degree in flute performance from the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati and her Bachelor of Music degree in flute performance from East Carolina University. Her principal teachers include Bradley Garner, Jack Wellbaum, and Christine Gustafson. She has performed in masterclasses for such artists as Emmanuel Pahud, Carol Wincenc, Jonathan Keeble, Amy Porter, Jill Felber, Bradley Garner, Göran Marcusson, Gary Schocker, Thomas Robertello, Keith Underwood, and Judith Mendenhall.
